Your return-to-duty path
What happens after a DOT drug or alcohol violation?
1. Initial evaluation
A confidential professional assessment of the violation, history and circumstances.
2. Education or treatment
An individualized recommendation based on the evaluation—not a shortcut or one-size-fits-all course.
3. Follow-up evaluation
After completion, the SAP evaluates compliance and may make the required return-to-duty recommendation.
$500 SAP fee.
Several payment pathways are available, including qualifying employer-funded benefits. Scheduling is often available within 24 hours after intake and payment. That timing applies to the initial appointment—not the complete return-to-duty process.
