NNikita Banks, LCSW is a Brooklyn Born and raised based psychotherapist who serves in the neighborhood where she was raised. Bedford Stuyvesant now called Stuyvesant Heights will always be Bed-Stuy to her. Returning to her hometown and building a business has always been her plans but life has a way of assisting you when you least expect it.
With assistance from colleagues and encouragement of friends we have been able to be in a rapidly changing, and gentrifying community. With her approach to business being the same “DO or DIE” attitude which has always been the neighborhood’s motto she ha taken an all or nothing approach to tackling stigma of Black mental health.
I didn’t realize when I struggled that all I had in my life and all that I didn’t have I manifested. I called chaos to my life just because I didn’t have the necessary information to make another choice. How would I? I did what I was taught to do. I went to my friends for advice who came to me for advice, it was a no end cycle of struggle. I got radical and went to someone to teach me the skills I didn't even know I didn't have

Nikita Banks, LCSW earned her undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College, B.S. Graduate Degree From New York University's Silver School of Social Work, MSW.
Post Graduate Certifications Awarded by Columbia University. Congressional Research Institute for Social Work Policy Award for Outstanding Individual in Business 2019.
National Association of Social Worker Vice President New York State 2020-2022. Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Georgia. Banks is a boy mom, a proud mom to her fur babies. Proud lifelong Brooklynite and Bed-Stuy Native. Author and coach.
